LCD does not turn off - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have just purchased NKTEL A8800, its MT6225 based touch screen device. The problem is that when I put music to play and run in background the lcd does not go off most of the times. Sometimes it does, but not sure when actually it turns off the lcd or what keeps it off. Anyone has any links to it or anybody can help for this?

Do factory defaults in Menu > settings.

great !
here is how to make your own touch screen
1. cut 2 flex celuloid papers at the same size like your cellphone screen
2. cut and place a continious line of a sliver paper (2mm) all around the different pieces of the celluloid papers
3.be sure that whith the multimetre you have about 200 ohm for each line

Can not do this, I dont have the phone's unlock code. How can I get that now? because my seller doesnt gave it to me.

Also, just noticed that lcd remains on, when I use the music player atleast once. And then it remains lit, for all other functions as well.

The password is the 1122 general MTK

Try this code 1122 if not work use 3344 or 1234 or 0000.At least one of them must work.

yeah 1122 worked thanks. BTW are you aware of ... how to get engineering menu on this phone. I have tried many codes available on web and this forum, but none works for it.

Some phones does not carry engineering MENU due to difference in software becoz of 62xx chip.
Ur phone lies in the same category .
