Member: 1233442 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | MT6235 (CVDQ-M56 ODYSSEY) Problems I recently bought a MT6235 from *********** (they call it an Odyssey CVDQ-M56) and am really happy with it. I have found a few quirks that I wonder if theres anyway I can edit somehow to fix: 1. You can set an mp3/wav as a ringtone and alarm clock but not as a text message tone, is there a way I can change this? 2. Almost all the user interface is big enough to use with your fingers except when typing messages or inputing text of anykind as the keyboard is tiny, which is understandable BUT you can select smart input so you get a predictive text input and a normal phone keypad type display, but the buttons are about 3mm high, so way to thin to press with your fingers, weirdly enough when you go to the 'phone' app that gives you a dial keypad its huge and easy to use, why on earth they decided to make the keypad for text input about 1/10th the height of the normal keypad is beyond me... anyway is there a way I can enlarge this? 3. You can edit the settings for when you turn the phone on silent, which is totally silent but it still vibrates which is very annoying. So to overcome this I change it to MEETING profile but you have to choose between vibrate OR ring, so I dont want vibrate so I select ring, then expect to set the RING to silent too so it makes no noise. But you cant set the ring volume to zero or silent so it still makes noise, the only way I overcome this was to make a two second mp3 file thats silent and set that as my ringtone for MEETING profile. I really love this phone, its a stunning phone, I can live with the problems 1 and 3 but problem 2 is the most annoying thing ever, so that would be priority. Thanks for any input you give, and please no flaming. PS. I have emailed *********** and all I got back was if you cant change it in the options then its not possible. |

Member: 1233442 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Just an update - Fixed issue 3 by disassembling the phone and removing the vibrator at the top of the phone, so now silent mode is silent. I can live with issue 1 but issue 2 is still a priority. |
