Will Tornada SIM make THINNER version?

I've sold quite a few tornado sims for new iphone 3g and it's been working very well..not many complaints so far from my customers, only problem is tornado sim is too thick so I have to modify(sand down) simcards and tornado sim everytime. I've seen others that are slimmer and no need to sand down the simcard..I need to order more tornado sims but just wondering if you will have a thinner version and maybe I should wait for them.

I purchased new TornadoSIM's now, but the cards looked exactly the same as the old one, except that the pcb was thinner. The chip was same height, and the cards are unusable in iPhone 3G. Did i get wrong cards? Isn't the new cards supposed to have a thinner chip also? And have a green color, not black?

Hello,
I allways reduce the heigh of the chip with a dremmel, its easy and fast, and never stuck inside if you make it enought thin with out break the IC, just an advice.

Best regards.

not dremmel, that's too heavy of equipment to use for that little chip..i use sand paper to sand it down, but even with that you can still damage the chip if you sand too thin. you have to sand it, try it..sand more and try again..i just wish tornado sim can make the chip also thin..im still hesitating to order more if the chip is still the same heigh...so Gobi, can you verify for us if the new sim chip is still the same as the old sim or not?

Yes, the new thinner version was a joke. It still is not possible to sell this to customers who want's to use it in iPhone and Nokia 5310 for instance. Sanding down every chip takes too much time.

As announced allready 1 week before --> NEW IPHONE3G TORNADOSIM is ready - and with this there is NO NEED TO CUT THE SIM ANYMORE, for unlocking IPHONE3G.

http:///vbb/showthread.php?t=600321

This is MUCH BETTER then "breaking a leg" to make only thinner version....

regards,
Gobi
