How to hard reset cingular 2125 by htc to get rid of usercode? - GSM-Forum

how about cingular 2125 by htc ,how to hard reset because I want to get rid of unknown usercode.I found one at hardreset .eu but it seems that you can use only the written procedure when you can still browse the menu.The bottom line here is how can I hard reset without using the menu.thanks and more power.

Hold down both soft keys and then press and hold the Power button for 2 sec.
The "Cingular raising the bar" splash screen will come up.
Release Power but keep holding down both soft keys for a couple of more seconds.

The screen should turn black with some text in white letters asking you to press 0 to complete the hard reset.
At this point release the soft keys and press zero to confirm the hard reset.
Any other keypress will cancel the reset and continue with the normal boot process.

While HOLDing two " _ " keys press Soft Reset key (Located near Charging socket). Release soft reset key BUT hold both keys until u get a Message on LCD. ONCE u see it - open keyboard press "R" and allow your phone to reboot and process rest.

Man its DONE !

i do not know if the phone is in off state or on

pls mate am having same user lock problem here can u be more simply first i need to know if it the side keys or the topmost key or the one in the middle and also need to know if the fone need to be switch on during the process or off during the process pls explain
