Thanks a lot eon. I downloaded both powerRun and linkstart. Both seemed to work great with small programs, but they both run extremely slow for programs with 10mb. I've downloaded several medical dictionaries from skyscape and all run slow with those programs. Is there a way to install skyscape programs on the memory card directly without having to installing it first to the device then using powerRun to run it? I've tried installing it directly to the device, but every time I do it it says some files are missing. Any advice? Thanks!

I should have added that I used v2.2 of linkstart. Is v2.3 better?

in my case with skyscape i install all smartlibs in the the RAM and the rest is memory card. in encountered that "some file missing" error also every installation of new app, but what i did is everytime i install a new skyscape app i just install all pdb and prc of that certain app since smartlibs are already in the RAM then reset my device. once i run that app after reset there's no more error and if after installing a new app and i can register i just replace the smartlibs of any new skyscape app. that does the trick for me.

LinkStart saves megabytes! Store your applications on card and run them as if they were on the device. Unlike PowerRun and similar tools, LinkStart supports complex applications that use multiple creator IDs, and it places links in the same category as the original application. Store as many applications as you can fit on the card. The power of Linkstart is in configurability. It is perfect for massive database and dictionary applications -- load to RAM only data that you want. There are numerous extra features for power users. Visit http://www.vistabug.com/linkstart for more details. Lite version is freeware! "LinkStart Lite can do more than Power Run without the cost". Check out this independent review of memory saving applications and find out why LinkStart is the best choice.
Updated Description:

Version 2.3 fixes numerous stability issues and adds Treo-specific UI improvements
