An unusual question unrelated to PALM

Hi everyone, I was given recently an iPhone 3Gs, and while I still have my trusty PALM 680, does anyone know of a good forum, location, site, or anything that has a similar function to this one, specifically, free/unlocked apps for the iPhone? If so, please let me know.

Thanks, Mapsking

Hi eon. Long time! Was wondering where you went, now I know. I am also considering the iphone since Sprint is doing away with their 2G network which my treo755 uses and is not compatible with 3/4G. I looked at the pre but was not that impressed. Sad, because I have been VERY happy with my treos.

Hi guys, may I ask your advice for a weird task...
I have a Treo 680 & revived an old Tungsten T who is giving me a headache to connect...

Treo can hotsync even by cable or bluetooth to my pc &/or my laptop without any issue, but things gone a little wild when I tried to hotsync by craddle the old Tungsten T...once synchronized the 680... (maybe my ignorance, maybe I'm getting old...) ended with a mess I can't get back to without loosing all information & hard resetting the TT...

The question is, anyone can guide me on the process? is it possible to hotsync alternately both palms? Any way to "selective" hotsync? Where can I select what to sync & what not depending on which gizmo is connecting?

Tried with different user names, different passwords, but all same mess... Hotsync with Treo 680 goes smooth, but while trying to hotsync the old TT no way to select only adresses to hotsync (as many installed apps are nor compatible with old model)
BTW: Using PalmDesktop 6.2 ...

thanks in advance
Carlos

Back by popular demand, here is the link for Bhajis Loops. Sadly I cannot upload it here because this forumn doesn't seem to like my computer, but perhaps someone else can upload it here for me since it seems to be a popular app which this forumn does not have a resident copy of. Anyways, just follow the instructions in the SN.txt file and you should be fine. Have fun folks.

First 10 people win the download! =P

First of all, make SURE you are not using the same hotsync ID (HSID) for both devices. That will get things messed up in a hurry. WIth hotsync I don't think you can select what to sync. You can choose what overwrites what. For instance you can set hotsync so that your pc overwrites the handheld (ie to recover files).

What I would recommend is that you use Resco Backup Pro to back up each device. This does a better job because it will back up files that hotsync does not so you have a complete backup of your device. Additionally, you can schedule Resco Backup to do the backup automatically. You can get it here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/misc...ments&t=202671

I would also recommend that you get card reader so that you can copy files from your pc to your handheld to restore files back to the handheld. This would allow selective transfer of files. Card reader is available at the same link as above.

Hope this helps. Let me know. Good luck!
