I figured implementing it in the way I have would be better than subjecting users of the site to banner ads on every page like lots of other sites do to cover their costs. |

Member: 956117 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 66 | Without going into a lot of details, one YEAR's income from my day job currently covers about one MONTH of my student loan payment. I may be able to improve that situation by spending more time and energy on my day job instead of on reverse-engineering BlackBerry stuff, but if I had done that, the tool would not even exist. I donate tons of my time and energy things that don't pay anything at all, and I will continue to do so. I don't think it is too much to ask for someone to spend a few minutes of their time completing an offer so that I can cover the costs of hosting the tool and hopefully cover some of the time and energy I have invested and will continue to invest. With that said, if you want to show your appreciation, go ahead and complete an offer in order to register on the site. For that matter, you can complete ALL the offers in order have multiple usernames on the cellphonephorum.com site. Once I get a certain number of users registered I'll give away a GrandCentral invitation to a randomly selected user. The more usernames you have, the greater your chance of winning. |

Perhaps the developers at the Barry project can Host your utility on their Wiki, since you have contributed to the project and received assistance from them in moving this forward. -mobytes

The easiest way to understand this is to go through the process and look at some of the offers and read what the requirements for each one is. Some offers do not require buying anything, but some do. Many are free trials. The advertiser is hoping that after signing up for a free trial that you will want more of whatever they have to sell and that you will become a good customer. I may at some time in the future choose to request that the utility on the Barry site or some other place. |

It's interesting that I created a VSM for ATT using your tool with only the ATT vendor ID 102. Swapping the vendor ID was enough to disable the network switching feature. |

http://www.google.com/support/grandc...n&answer=94683 I know, I'm a GC user with lots of people asking me. Personally I appreciate what you have done to reverse engineer BB stuff, but the whole 'sign up for a BS offer that you will never use for a product you don't want' is so 1997. How about SourceForge? You mean to tell me that they wouldn't host it for you? I find that really hard to believe.

Member: 975768 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hey guys, I'm having a bit of trouble and for the life of me can't figure out what to do. I followed the steps 100% and everything seemed to go well. However there are a few weird things that I can't explain. First, I have a blank white splash screen and not the "Property of RIM" like everyone else seems to have. Also, when I hit alt+shift+H it doesn't bring me to the engineering menu, it just bring me to the "Help Me!" menu. It says that my VSM is -1 so it seems I did everything right. Any ideas? For the record I have an AT&T bold running .237 |

I have not attempted to host it on SourceForge. I am currently not looking for any place to host it.
