I had the same problem but I unlocked the phone and worked fine afterwards, seems like it got locked again after an update.

I solved that problem using an adapter that came with the battery, usually when you buy a new battery either it comes with it or you can ask at the store to copy the code for you so you can use the new battery, if you havent changed the battery then you might need to restore the software which you'll find here too. Download GPGDragon Blackberry Tool and Blackberry Mep Reader.
Extract them on your system.Connect your blackberry and read the mep with Mep Reader.Then enter the imei and mep in GPGDragon Blackberry Tool and click on CALCULATE.
