Garmin Not Working With N95 8gb Please Help

everytime i try to get it to pick up internal gps device it says not found I've dont it on both classic and 8gb.

these were the instructions i had have i dont something wrong?

1. connect the n95 in "Data Transfer" mode and copy the "garmin" folder to the root of the memory card.

2. Disconnect phone from pc then navigate to the garmin folder and run "garminxt.sis" this will install the aplication.

3. on the n95 use the file manager and browse to the garmin directory and delete "GarminDevice.xml"

4. Then go to your applications folder and start "garminxt".

5. open settings open about about

6. Make note of your "Card ID"

7. Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" that you saw on GarminMXT About page.

8. hit generate code (top portion)

9. Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock key to clipboard.

10. Now open Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL

11. Put your newly created file to your SD Card\Garmin directory and restart GMXT.

12. Program should now recognize your built-in GPS (if not go to settings\system and choose "connected gps") and you should be
able to use detailed maps.

13. If you want to install additional maps then you have to get "City Navigator Europe NT" or "City Navigator North America NT". Install those products
and use an unlock code for each of those packages to unlock the maps on your PC.

14. Then transfer the maps/waypoints etc that you want to your device via the "transfer to device" option in Mapsource.

15. When you run GarminXT on your phone after you've transferred the maps over, the N95 will ask you to unlock the maps on your phone. This requires you to run the
keygen again, enter the same "Card ID" as before, but now use the bottom half of the program by selecting the specific map package and then clicking
generate. The code that appears can be entered manually into the N95 via the prompt that garminXt will give you. Repeat again if you want to transfer maps from another package.

It must be something to do with your SW.UNL file.

I learnt this earlier on today.

So I would suggest to double check your SW.UNL file..

once files on handset, navigate to the folder garmin and make sure the files are renamed to omit the .txt at the end, otherwise they will not pick up the internal gps, regards

Hello
SW.UNL For sure Mate.

Check that You have selected all files not *.txt when saving the file on Your phone.
