Thanks mate but no luck ... as it should run garmin then I can do something any idea where I can find tomtom details?

Bundle of thanks but i am already there and can't find the tomtom software however there are unlocking key softwares

Hi Mike, I managed to install and crack Garmin XT ver5 now can you tell me if i can use same maps for Aus as of ver 4 ? I did that but my Garmin is unable to find Internal GPS. I have changed the UNL files with codes but still no luck what could be the reason?

Yes.... You can use the same maps, and you can find them all in this forum.....

If you have done as stated in the piece of paper you downloaded, it should be OK.... Be patience... It takes some time for the phone to find the satellites the first time.....

Please check you saved the file af SW.UNL and not as SW.UNL.TXT...
Did you save it in the Garmin folder..?

I did same and its not .txt file ... everything is ok but it says "Detailed maps are required" Iam using same maps of ver4 and the name of file is "gmapsupp.img". It also says cannot unlock maps with ID

Your old map has been unlocked to fit with your old device....

You have to unlock tha map so it is fitting to your new device....

Two options:

1) The wrong one but very easy:

Look in the "How-to" papers

2) The right one using mapsource:

Download the latest version of MapSource from this link http://www8.garmin.com/software/MapSource_6141.exe
After installing MapSource install the map using eg. CNEUNT2009Update_ENU.msi - Not the Setup.exe.
This will install the map only.
After installing the map launch MapSource and unlock the map, use a key generator which you can find here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show....php?p=3850220
Enter your GPS's ID number and mapid in the key generator, and you have the unlock-code.
In Mapsource, click Utilities > Manage Map Products
Select the Unlock Regions tab, and click Add
Enter your 25-character unlock code and then a comment, if desired. Click OK

Then you transfer the part of the map (e.g. Spain) you would like to your GPS….
If you would like to have more maps, e.g. Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2009 and Garmin City Navigator North America NT 2009 you can combine the maps and transfer them to you GPS.

Oh I got it fixed ... did the map stuff again and it worked... thanks for your all help yahooo... now where i can get updated maps ? any suggestion?

dam again new problem ... when i start the application it shows bluetooth is currently off please turn it on. When i press ok , it exit the application automatically ... now what is the problem here...?

Requirements for maps to be included in the list:


1) All maps must be MAPSOURCE versions - not gmapsupp.img.


2) The map must be routable, and may not be prepared from a gmapsupp.img map.


3) New / Other maps to be included in the list must be in a better resolution than the existing maps.

What is the advantage of using Mapsource?
In this way you can combine several different maps, and transfer them to your GPS as a single map.
