how to active uk map in tomtom 7 ? - GSM-Forum

hi there i put the tomtom 7 in my samsung omnia i900 but i can't active the uk map. anybody know's how to do that please?

u need the easy tool for this!

copy the meat.txt from ur map in this folder: insert_meta_from_Map_here

copy the DeviceID in the txt data: DeviceID
you will find the DeviceID on your item in programs/navigator in the navigator folder is a "ttnavigator.bif" open it with text editor
and copy JUST the parts after = DeviceUniqueID=aB3A00oFY0 in DeviceID.txt from easy tool

start now RunMeforDCT.cmd: push 2 and in the next step u have to push 1.

copy the Western_and_Central_Europe-13.meta.dct in the Western_and_Central_Europe map folder and let Western_and_Central_Europe-13.meta in as well.

done!

you will need VirtComMgr or gpsgate or you will be waiting forever for a gps lock

1. Configure WM6 (Settings - External GPS):
- Programs : COM2
- Hardware : COM9 baudrate : 9600
- Access : activate the check box
2. install GPSGate 2.5 (available here : GPSGate)
3. Configure GPSGate :
- Input : COM2 baudrate : 4800
- Output : COM6
4. Configure Tomtom :
- GPS Settings : Other NMEA, Speed : 4800, on Franson COM6
