TomTom One XL map activation needed.
 

Hi all.
I recently got asked by a friend to look at his TT One XL. I agreed (due to the fact I'd looked at some old TT models in the past and added extras). I used TT Home to get latest updates but now the device won't open any maps or go past the initial setup stage.
The screen I am seeing is a 'select map' screen with the only option being 'United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland', now if I click on the map selection the device is saying I need to activate at TTcode.com, but then for that to happen I must have the activation code already. My friend threw the box away ages ago as the device is pretty old now anyway.

Device code is AK8AS B2MVE.
Map is UK and Ireland 845.2666.

Is there a keygen or other 'simple' to use tool? The device is actually non-working now and initially it was but with 'old maps' plus I think he had Western Europe too to begin with. So as you can appreciate I'm looking a bit of a plonker at the mo'.

try to patch the navcore: How to patch the ttsystem or pndnavigator for PNA

and then activate the map you want:
How to activate the maps for TomTom

You have to do both things to get the gps running again

If you do this you will have a "cracked" gps and in the future you just need to download new maps and activate them :D
