Member: 13975 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | I gave up relying on the battery in my unit and opend it up, used the wiring from it, and made my own battery from two motorola v3. Providing the output is 7.2 you should be OK. Wire them up +ve on battery B to -ve on battery A, +ve on battry A to +ve on pcb (or switch here if your interested in adding one), -ve on battery B to -ve on pcb. Its what I did with my own device and have no issues with it what so ever. Works fine for me. Obviously this is only useful for you, if it is a fault with the batteries. |

Member: 57803 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 99 | This problem seems to occur when Genie goes into 'battery saving mode' it will not power up again unless I disconnect/reconnect the battery or plug it into the mains. Is there a way to disable this 'saving mode' then a least GSM Solutions could just carry a spare fully charged battery on his travels. I appreciate this doesn't solve the problem fully but at least it gets him back on the road. |

Member: 13975 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | @ GSM Solutions Ltd Im experiencing similar issues. Ive never noticed them before, as ive just turned the device off after use. But it looks like when the device goes into sleep mode, only way to get it to wake up, is to kill power, and reboot. Same when running from USB cable for power, or running from internal battry. If you do my suggestion, if it does die, you have a button you can manually kill power. UNless you want to open up the device and mess around unplugging wires. Before ******* my switch, i just had the wires out the casing with the red clip together, and unplugged it. |

Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, I still can't recreate this problem. Device is running on battery. Its in the main menu, after few seconds it goes to low power mode. It appears fully dead, pressing buttons will not change anything. Then press '1', hold for 1 second and release, device wakes up. I will need more info to recreate the problem all you're having. BR |

But since my telepathy skills are not very good I will appreciate some more info. Maybe full description of the problem, some analysis of the 'sometimes' conditions, etc. Thanks | |

Member: 13975 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | I find it happens when running any application, bb5unlocker, geniep, fls5, operation is completed / running fine, but display goes blank. No matter what key you press for how long, only way to reset device is to remove usb/mains if connected, and disconnect battery *or turn off via switch* When turn back on power it boot normally. If i keep pressing a key during operation, display is fine. Maybe option for customer to choose idle timeout function? |

Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, So if I understand this correct, this blocking you get is during using an application. You can try to select LCD timeout off from the Setting menu and see if this blocking happens as well. BR |
