Member: 631393 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 749 | Hi, I disagree. First, this proposal is not supposed to provide a fast flasher, but rather a way to stay compatible with Phoenix in the way Genie did in the past. The physical interface implementation is secondary and interchangable. You can still add a fast interface afterwards. Second, the VMware hardware support is irrelevant. The only required virtual hardware is a tunnel between the "inside" driver patch, and the "outside" receiver. I proposed to do this with a COM port, which works well in VMware and is easy to automatically attach to. If you disagree on this, then use a network socket (you will have to provide guides on how to resolve IP conflicts). Third, Phoenix isn't supposed to run inside the VM. The VM is solely for the components that make up the FLS box. How well (or not) Phoenix runs on VMware does not matter. It would usually be installed on the same computer as the VM, but not inside the VM. I hope that makes it clearer. |

network socked would be my favorit! cause its "just" needed too "translate" the network communications, like fps-10 connected to ethernet this should be not too hard to do this (not for me, but for you is not too hard ). br. hari | |

Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, Marc - yeah all tricks could be done, i just don't want to make something mediocre out of something great. With FLS-5 the story was different, because the original device was really behaving in funny way, so Genie was suppose to improve on the original. About unlock - there is no known USB exploit yet, so the unlocking will continue via FBUS cable. BR, Alex |
