no need preserve baseband , you can update and jailbreak , thats procedure is for cdma only !!

my iccid given by the iphone is composed by 19 nunmber. is this correct?

if you have original sim carrier you can read IMSI

add source ( repo.bingner.com ) then now install SAM; insert orig sim directly and then open SAM and then goto more information

Tested in italy with TIM.
Iphone 4s 5.1.1 was locked to swisscom. Used IMSI 2280167. WORKING!

Tested with a H3G sim and doesn't work..don't know if the problem is my microsim or x-sim.

will test on wind and let you know...
