Unlock Verizon or Sprint iPhone 4S ios 5.01 with X-SIM

For Your iPhone 4S to work flawlessly on Verizon or Sprint after unlocking with X-SIM you must delete the CDMA carrier bundle so that your iPhone 4S will not be searching first for CDMA Network on boot up.

What you need to unlock iPhone 4S Verizon
- iPhone 4S
- X-SIM
- iFunbox for file browser
Step 1:
- Connect your 4S with iFunbox
- Go to ar/wireless/Library then delete file carrier_310VZW_20404_11.2.plist
- Go to /System/Library/Carrier Bundle/iPhone delete folder Zeppelin_US.bundle and delete your sim card carrier bundle ( my Sim card is CMCC so I have to delete folder CMCC_cn.bundle )
Step 2:
- JB your 4S, in cydia add source http://repo.bingner.com
- Install SAM
- Put your sim card ( without X-Sim )
- When the phone recognize your Sim card then go to Settings/SAM
- Enable: ON (Auto method)
- Hacktivate: On
- Your phone will be Hacktivated
Step 3:
- Take your sim out from iPhone and put back together with X-Sim
- Waiting for searching network the go to Settings/Phone/SIM PIN then OFF SIM PIN
- On the pop-up password menu type 7 digits IMSI 2040400 ( for Verizon ) or 3160101 ( Sprint(CDMA)
- Restart your phone
Step 4:
- Put your sim card ( with X-Sim) into 4S
- Let’s the 4S detect Sim
- Go to Setting/General/About and check, carrier will be Not Available
- Go to Setting/SAM then OFF and ON Hacktivate fast
- Go to About again and carrier will be vf nl 11.0
- Then go to SAM do OFF and ON very fast
- Your phone now call be used for calling.

the correct way is this ;Go to var/wireless/Library then delete file carrier_310VZW_20404_11.2.plist

bro now phone is unlocked its working the weird things is

in the place of network i get NO NETWORK but the phone does work

maybe is that the reason i didnt delete the 2 files out of the iphone ?

Off course you need first DO a jailbreak and then you can see folder named ROOT and you can find folders, for that only 5.0.1 works.
Im buyed 3 Rebel sim card for iphone 4s sprint 5.1 and cant work, get signal, then says phone not activated, then signal drop and still search and still the same cicle.

withouth delete this 2 files, iphone can call and can get calls, can get sms but cannnot sms to others

and in the place of network : no service but i can call and get calls like i sayed,

and internet isnt work how to fix this problem i dont see APN in network settings


any with with suggestions ?

Hi friend

Your problem is CDMA carrier conflict.. As we explained before.. Unlocking CDMA 5.1 is Not a Problem for Rebel X-SIM but as long as you cannot jailbreak and cannot install the SAM to DELETE CDMA carrier Bundle in your Verizon iPhone 4S iOS5.1 then you will be having such problems as you mentioned.

Hopefully there will be JB for 5.1 soon..


Also for APN problem .. This is Classic of iPhone 4S.. Back-Door is to Install APN Switcher.. it is FREE from App Store.

We will make Another 5.1.1 Update that we are improving now.. I think that will take you further than you have gone now.. maybe better result

But what about older x-sim, for example im buyed 3 x-sim for 5.1, not working whit my phones because jailbreak. Now new update 5.1.1 out and my 5.1 x-sim not work whit 5.1.1 then if jailbreak only works whit 5.1.1 , im loose my x-sim??

i deleted carrier plist in the directory var/wireless/library
user done network reset and phone need activation and i can't activate it even i have inserted original carrier (sprint) sim card inside,it says with original sim and without sim card "the sim card in this iphone does not appear to be supported". i don't have backup,i think it need cdma carrier plist for sprint to boot up first as cdma phone and activate even without sim card.

if anyone can please help and attach that file
