Member: 1770078 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Unsuccessful Unlock AT&T iOS 5.1.1 for T-Mobile I followed the instructions carefully: Turned off SIM PIN, and used 3104101 for the IMSI. My T-Mobile micro-SIM is brand new and it's working on my Android Galaxy S 4G phone after having to insert the micro SIM card carefully. So I know the micro SIM card is good. However, x-sim is not working for me. I keep getting No Service and Searching... over and over again. I even restarted the phone and entered the IMSI. It's still not working. I paid $450 for this phone, and I was very excited and hope to be able to use it. But my excitement is no where to be seen. Please help. |

Member: 1770078 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Got it working!!! I just wanted to report that I finally got it working. I read a post somewhere that jailbreaking could help so I gave it a try with Absinthe 2.0.4. After jailbreaking, I repeated the unlocking/activating process with x-sim, but it didn't work. I continued getting "Searching..." and "No Service". The two states kept toggling every few minutes. So, I then decided to restore the firmware using iTunes to iOS 5.1.1, and then repeated the unlocking/activating process. Lo and behold, it got connected to T-Mobile after some time. I had the iPhone connected to my laptop for charging as the battery was about 30% full. I had iTunes open and closed at various times. Feeling good after all. ;-) |

Member: 1770078 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Not working again after reboot Oh man, I spoke too soon. After testing the iPhone for awhile, I decided to reboot it and entered 0000 to unlock the SIM, and it went back to "Searching..." and "No Service" problem again. I left the phone on over night, but this morning, it's still in the Searching/NoService mode. Frustrating. Any suggestions? |

Member: 1770078 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Still No Good Results I put the microSIM into my Galaxy S 4G carefully because the it's smaller than the normal one. I made a call, answered the other phone, and made sure the calling is working, then hung up. I then removed and inserted it into the iPhone 4S with the x-sim card. It prompted for the PIN so I entered 3104101. I waited for 5 minus, and it's still doing Seaching/No Service toggling. I even reset the Network Settings tried it again, same results. Please help. |

Member: 1770078 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I finally got it working folks. I stopped by the T-Mobile store and asked for a new SIM card. I plugged it in and it got connected after 1-2 minutes. I restarted the iPhone to see what happens and it got connected again. Wooohooo! |

Member: 1770078 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | I used 88888888, so it no longer prompts for the PIN after rebooting. Pretty cool. Thanks for the great product. You guys rock! By the way, I'm only getting EDGE, no 3G. Is this normal? I thought I read somewhere that it supports 3G. Maybe not with T-Mobile? |

Now - my question is - what you said above seems to be very similar to my case; when you said you "I then decided to restore the firmware using iTunes to iOS 5.1.1, and then repeated the unlocking/activating process. Lo and behold, it got connected to T-Mobile", I assume you had to not only UNLOCK the phone, but before that also ACTIVATE it? i.e. you put in X-Sim + your micro-sim and it ACTIVATED the phone and also connected you to T-MOBILE? Is that correct? This information would really really help me out. My wife's birthday is in less than a week!!! | |
