I8700 Unlock Procedure

[ --- I8700/I917/I917R Unlock Manual --- ]


Cable type : Microusb UART or Original USB Data Cable

In case you are using microusb uart cable you may skip steps 1-4 of manual and start with step 5.

  1. Power on phone without simcard inside.
  2. On phones keyboard type ##634# and press "Call" button. Diagnostic menu will appear.
  3. On phones keyboard type *#7284# and select "Modem, USB Diag".
  4. Wait untill phone restarts and fully starts up.
  5. Connect phone to the cable, install drivers if required.
  6. Start pegasus software.
  7. Select I8700 from the model list or type model name manually. Press "ENTER" button or click "Create New Module Button".
  8. Select phones port from comport dropdown menu.
  9. Click "Connect" button. Phones infromation and unlock codes will be read.
  10. You may unlock phone by inputing unlock code manually or just click "Unlock" button.
  11. Click "Disconnect" button.
  12. In Case you have used original usb cable, type ##634# and press "Call" button. Diagnostic menu will appear. On phones keyboard type *#7284# and select "Zune mode".

  8. Select phones port from comport dropdown menu.

  12. On phones keyboard type *#7284# and select "PDA". Goto "Menu" -> "Settings" -> "Applications" -> "Development". Disable "USB Debugging"

Procedure:

insert UFS C3303k cable to phone without battery
Connect
insert battery to phone
unlock
