I was wondering if Pegasus box software and drivers will work on Windows 8?

Since it's working fine on Windows 7 it should work on Windows 8 too. We didn't try yet though

Can you please check if A817 requires service cable connected to the box
Or would regular usb connected to pc would work?

According to manual MicroUART is required

Works fine in Win 8 Pro x64
