Box can not be connected to unlock bb5 help! - GSM-Forum

Dear all,

I have an issue here. I connected the jaf box and usb dongle, turn on the jaf software, set in bb5 mode. Then I turned on cinek. It detected my usb dongle, but it keeps saying no jaf box found and no ufx box found. What should I do? I bought all the bb5 phones cable but I can't use any to unlock any phones. Some cables have a cord comes out that allow me to plug in a battery. What should I do? Please help.

Ok I will attempt to try and help. 1st you have to ensure that the box is connected because the JAF software will open even if the box is not properly installed. It only needs the PKEY to open (the usb dongle). So update box drivers . Once your computer recognise the box and you open JAF software you should see in the message section of JAF thet your box is conected. You should now be able to connect to BB5Plus software.

Connect Vspec only if you gonna do unlock with testpoint.

thank you beerfoote1. All is fine now and cinek can detect the jaf box. But when I try to unlock nokia 5200 rm-174 it comes with the following message. I am using a fbus cable which has an extended cable allowing me to plug in a dry cell battery. Don't know if it is the cable problem. Thanks for your help again.

Do not use any battery 9v or whatever it was just plug the fbus cable and change the the jaf usb cable and also ur pc port ur pc shuold have 4..6 usb ports if u instal himachi software and drivers first uninstal it and try to use only one device at one time
