1661-2b no network after unlock ( convert needed ??? ) (ANSWERED) - GSM-Forum

hi guys....

has somebody here tried to unlock 1661-2b successfully without conversion??

i already tried to flash it with rh-122 ( since it is rh-121 ) and wrote an 1661 pm but still nothing... no network...

any advice???

Just change its rx/tx filter

Sir what rh-122 fw version did you flashed unit?

put a jumper on RX filter and flash again,Write a good pm file then unlock

is that a Mexican phone ? 850/1900
u can convert by flashing and changing some hardware on the pcb to 900/1800

how can i convert 1661-2(900 - 1800) to 1661-2b(850 - 1900) everybody talk about 1661-2b to 1661-2 convertion but i need to get bands 850 - 1900 thankz!

I think it will help u. I done this solution many times.

1. first do this
2.erase then flash with 1661
3.write 1661 pm file.

yes,
to do band conversion, you will need to modified both side: SW & HW.
- full erase, reflash, write pm, unlock by rsa (direct unlock)
- do HW modification as posted by members above.

hello brothers mobile ok but everytime when i make a call.........mobile sayed battery empty and swicth off
