Red face MxBox - Phone Not Responding (ANSWERED)

Thank you GSM-Fourm for help on my previous problem.

Background Information:

I am new to the unlocking game, I will be more active on here and helping out other users where I can, Just need a bit of help getting up and running myself.

Currently Own a HTI MXBox (Green Edition)
Ive checked the serial number against faulty builds using the website found on here, all seems to be fine there. assuming ive used the right serial code

I am going to be using the MXBox for Nokia and Blackberry Phones.

I'm running
  • Windows XP Professional SP3 (Fully updated and legal)
  • Comodo Firewall 5.9.22 (Free edition)
  • NOD32 Eset Anitvirus 4.2.71 (Paid Edition)
  • MobileEx 3.5 (Rev1.7) Installed and activated online
I Also Have
  • Z3X Box - Works fine and unlocks Samsung Phones brilliantly
  • XTC Clip - Again, this works fine and unlock HTC Phones brilliantly

The Problem:

I have used three different Nokia's (N900, 2730C, X6)
Each uses the pack that requires you to remove the battery.

Using the Nokia Service Tool Signed v1.25 and selecting the right phone type, (BB5, DCT3, DCT4, ETC) I scan for the phone

Quote:
Phone not responding, please reset the phone manually then click "OK" to continue
During the scan, the lights flash on the HTI MXBox like it is trying to do something but not a constant blinking.

Tried switched the phone on, or setting it into local mode, I get no response.

Even tried a desperate measure of different USB leads and USB ports on the computer.

I think i have given you all the information I have,
Please, If there is anyone out there

With three mobile phones? I even used my own phone, which i know is fine. As for firmware, I'm not trying to flash the phones. Just use Init Simlock.

at this moment in time i would be happy just to get any sort of information from the phone.

MobeilEx won't even bring up the IMEI of the connected phone.

I don't get a log.

  • Changed TMA back to Auto
  • Clicked Scan
  • Waited
  • Got the same error as before "Phone not responding, please reset the phone manually then click "OK" to continue"
  • Nothing in the Log window.
  • clicked bus check
  • waited

zuberchowdhry:
I was starting to think that myself, but I didn't want to send it back without at least trying to solve the problem or having them telling me that I'm not doing it right.

Thank you all for your help, I will try and get it replaced ASAP.

What I don't understand is that only just bought it.
bought HTC Clip, z3x Box, and MXbox all at the same time (3 weeks ago) the other two are fine, just the MXBox seems to be faulty.
