Nokia 5800 Unlock Problem - GSM-Forum

I have a Rogers 5800 which I tried to unlock via MXKey

The unit would unlock fine (using init sim or repair sim)

But when inserting a NON-ROGERS sim, the boot up would take a while and as well the device would not be fully functional. The battery meter does not display nor does the menu key work.

I was forced to restore simlock from backup and it returned back locked to Rogers.

Funny thing is, while the device was so called "unlock" it would function perfectly with the Rogers sim.

Advise ?

distinguish when using NCK and SIMLOCK Repair

Thank you for your prompt reply. I have tried that option as well but the unlock codes didn't show up and nothing happened...

I will post a log next time as the phone is back with the customer.
