Some Improvements to MXKey!

Hi!

I am starting this thread to let support MXKEY by telling minor problems.

The very first problem I faced is:

If a phone is flashing, and by mistake I click on Star Icon and shift to another module, flashing is stopped without any warning. At least, It should ask user that opening another module will terminate current process.

Regards,
Shadab Ahmad

One more:

Check for Updates > Download and Install doesn't seems to work

Even if it works, no progress or download indicator appears.

One More:

It would be even better, if Model List automatically sort phone according to generation.
If we select BB5 as generation, only BB5 phones should be listed.

Now, we can select 1600 (RH-64) phone when BB5 is selected as Generation. It will cause Boot Error.

Shadab Ahmad

One More:

It would be better if we can see Custom INI in Market List.
Also, after selecting a phone model, its default INI should be loaded automatically.
At the moment, we need to click on Load button.

One more thing, Once we click on Market List, then we must have to click on this list to close it. It should close automatically by click the area on which we click it to open (just like a windows Combo Box Control).

Shadab Ahmad

Radio Problem

One More:

Even if we can turn on radio by Phone Tests > FM Radion > Power On, we can tune or change anything there

This should be fixed as we should be able to enjoy listening (only a joke)

One More:

If once we have select Phone Model, Loaded Ini or Selected Flash Files, and then we do Bus Check, Phone Model goes blank and everything resetted.

This happens to dead phones, bcoz MobileEx tries to read info from Phone after Bus Check. Causing all selected files to reset to blank.

Please fix this.

Shadab Ahmad

Well that's a good opinion, which should be implemented in software. It's a must,It can save time and can avoid simple user errors. All other things mentioned here are also very good suggestions.Hope the team would consider it seriously and will do neccessary actions.

mine is a minor one only...

I notice when I tried to get the erase address of 2600c & 2630 and try to use these addresses as erase files, it stopped at the middle of its operation....

What could be wrong there? The unit is alive, only hang but can load its info.

Could it be that Mx-Key generated a wrong address for these models?

Thanks for reply.

One More:

Sometimes, after we have aborted an operation and again need to do some operations, MobileEx fails to communication with phone. For example, can not read info even if phone is in Local Mode.
In such case, we need to restart MobileEx and even Unplug and Plug again the Flashing Box.

Shadab Ahmad
