I have a SE w600i with the infamous white screen problem. I did my research and this is due to corruption. I hear cruiser is a powerful tool that can allow to reflash the phone and would most likely fix the problem. My question is, Is cruiser capable of doing a backup of the mp3 and pictures in the phone before performing the flash. I cannot use pc suite as the software expects me to select "file transfer" from the phone. This option doesnt show up because of the corruption as you suspected

yes you can back up your file in pcsuite if the white screen is related in display problem. NO if the white screen problem is related with the firmware problem. last thing you can retrieve your all file in your your memory stick.

From what I gather, cruiser can only backup the existing phone's firmware not the mp3 and jpg stored by the user.

Has anyone acutally tried it and can actually confirm it is possible to retreive the mp3 and jpg with cruiser ?
