Lead plz help!! Converting W600i back to Red Certificate - GSM-Forum

Hello, I have unlocked a few W600i phones successfully, But did not convert them back to Red Certificate as the instructions said that the phone needs to be flashed in order to put it back to Red certificate. I am concerned that if the flashing does not complete successfully, I might damage the phone. So please tell me what is the exact procedure to convert w600 phones back to Red Certificate once they have been unlocked....and if there is a way to back up the flash before I do that so if something does go wrong, I can go back to the original software...Thanks for your help...

You convert them back the same way you converted it to brown... Go to the Security RSA tab, select the "replace certificate", choosing Red plus the CID the phone currently is.

I suggest reading the user manual, it's pretty clear on this now (I hope)

You will not damage the phone converting it back to red.

There is no way to "back up the flash in case it goes wrong", flash files are already provided in the support area.

I am sorry I am used to doing flash backups on the Motorolas I guess it is a bit different for sony ericsson. But Thank you very much for your help...

after unlocking by brown conversion method, the option to convert back to red disappears on the cruiser sw. can you explain?

It Depends On He Cid If Its Cid 49=
1.[attach Phone] Just Unlock Rsa [detach]
2.[re Attach] Direct Unlock [detach]
3.[re Attach] Restore Firware [incase Of No Restoral Firware Do Procedure 4] [detach]
4.[attach] Just Flash Arm Flash [detach]

If Its Cid 36 Red=
1.[attach] Change Cid To Cid 36 Brown
2.direct Unlock
3.change Cid Back To Red [detach]

chang the brown to red is posible bat you now need convert with the cruiser in anoter metod and flash with universal box
