Is possible to remove Phone Lock Code on DB-2020 phone without Unlock RSA? - GSM-Forum

Hello

I have a Sony Ericsson W580i that has a phone lock code on it. But the customer wants to keep all info stored in the phone, so is there anyway to remove and/or read the code without unlocking RSA and then flashing phone (which would erase all user info)?

Select Identify Mode and then attach your phone, User Code

flash only main fw identically with original one and do not touch fs

attach phone normally
go to unlock tab
click CLEAR PHONE LOCK
1 Credit will be deducted.

Thanks, I will try this, BUT....when I look in support, the only file that uses Software Version R6BE001 is a CID-53 file (ie, W580a_CXC1123481_NAM1_R6BE001_Red53.rar). See post #3 above for a log of this phone.

Is the process different than normal CID-52 DB2020 flashing?
