Quick question about unlock procedure

Hi everyone

Yesterday I unlocked a K700i without any troubles. I just followed the manual. All I did was:
1. Attach phone
2. Unlock RSA
3. Read codes
4. pressed in the codes and K700i was unlocked

Now here is my question:
Shouldn't I activate the RSA again after having unlocked the phone if the customer want to keep his warranty from SE?
Is it only possible to unlock the new SE phones using "Read codes"?

Thanks in advance

best regards

Martin

As long as you are using the latest version of Cruiser, you can direct unlock or read codes.

It is not possible at this time to relock RSA on new phones (K/F/S/V/new Z series).

@evan_silbert

Thankx for the answer and sorry for the late reply. I've been pretty busy during easter! How to direct unlock then - its not included in the manual!

If the RSA can't be relocked - then what about the warranty! I can't belive that SE repairs phones where the RSA isn't locked!

Am I wrong??

Best regards

Martin

Direct unlock button is right near read codes in the Locks tab. Just press it and phone will be directly unlocked.

About relocking RSA, someone with more internal knowledge than me might have more to say on this, but I don't believe they have the ability to find out whether or not RSA is locked.

RSA unlocked phones can still use SEUS, so I assume they can use EMMA the same way.
