Is there a complete newbie guide anywhere?
I'm trying to unlock a W350i.

I'm really intrigued about the Cruiser software and also want to find out what else I can do and want to know what other phones I can unlock.

I've done lots and lots of reading: and am completely lost.

I've got: SeA1FastJavaUnlocker.

1. Do I need a special cable? Or can I use the cable that came with the phone?

2. How do I connect and get SeA1FastJavaUnlocker to see the phone?
So far, I've tried: holding down 2 and then connecting the cable to my PC.
No joy.

What am I doing wrong?

3. Step 5 says: 'Insert either a test-card or SIM card...'????
What?? Does that mean in the first steps when you connect the phone, you should not have a SIM card inserted??
(I've tried without a SIM card: still no joy.)

4. What's a 'rest-file'???

First step: did you bought Cruiser USB dongle ?

aaah! i see.

not my fault: how am i supposed to know i need to buy this?
where can i buy from? how much does it cost?
(as i said: i assumed u could just use the standard cable and connect.)

Why you think that someone works few years and then put it all for free ?

If you have only this one phone for unlock, buy D-Unlocker logs, this application need just the cable, but you need pay for every unlock.

thanks for the reply.
i do genuinely want to learn more and become an unlocking service.
i looked at some of the uk suppliers.
and am even more confused: there's sooo many different options!
so many different kits of hardware u can buy.
is there a dummies starter guide to unlocking somewhere?

where can i get this from?

if your serious, about unlocking, and wish to make a living from it you will need, to purchase cruiser pro,
for sony erricson work...
then you got Nokia/moto/samsung ,, and many many more,,,,, but we wont go there......
