Fighter switches phone on instead of booting it...

Hi,

I have a little problem: my Fighter only turns the phones on when pressing "Attach to phone" instead of booting the phone... What could be the problem? And no, the "charging button" of Fighter is not active...
The problem occurs with any phone (tested 4 different mobiles!)

Anyone experienced the same problem? I'm happy for any hint!

Cheerio,

IL

Sounds like you either have four faulty phones (not very likely) or you have a cable probem of some sort.

First of all, make sure the contacts on the bottom of the phone are nice and clean, plus also check inside for corrosion/bad contacts.

You could also try using a T28 cable with Fighter, see if that works ok.
Has this problem just started happening?

Thanks for your answer!

Yes, the problem started suddenly. Until yesterday, there was no problem at all... I haven't installed anything additionally, I first thought it could be a communication problem with COM-ports. But Fighter "sees" the cable, and just a few minutes ago, Fighter could also boot the phone. But suddenly after booting (status "initializing phone hardware"), Fighter detached the phone automatically, and it was "dead" again (meaning it started switching on again just after pressing "attach phone")...
I just flashed the same phone with Terminator, and that went fine, so it's definitely not a problem with the phone.

Contacts seem to be OK, I have the Fighter cable for about 4 weeks now, so it's quite new, I'd say. Very strange, the whole thing...
Unfortunately, I don't have any T28 cable.

Cheerio,

IL

It sounds like a problem with your cable then.
Talk to your reseller and explain the problem to them, see if they'll replace the cable for you.

@IndianL

I have same problem after instaling original PCSuite software for P900.
USB port busy.
1. I uninstall PCSuite
2. I uninstall SEFighter.
3. Reboot computer
4. Instal again SEFighter with cable drivers.

@hamltd: That did the trick! Thanks a lot!
Although I have installed the PC Suite a few weeks ago already, and Fighter used to work without any problems during that time...

Thanks again!

Another trick

Ho Friends

You can try this procedure .. I tried it before.

After you install the PC connect software for P800 or P900 it uses the USB
protocls and keeps it for itself.

You can see a little ICOn near the clock ( Bottom right corner of windows )
Right click on it and from the setting stop it , and then you can use the fighter .

Hope this will be usefull to you.

Best regards

Raffi

ummm.. It still does the same thing on my computer.. What I did is connect the phone without battery to the fighter cable, then choose attach phone, when fighter is trying to activate the phone, put the battery in, then everything works.... Don't know why, but it works on me..

Cheers

Try another cable first of all.

If that doesn't work, examine the phone's contacts.
