My Lollipop device automatically puts the call "Hold"

I have an old Samsung smartphone that runs Lollipop OS. The device works fine but a little bit slow. I face a problem occasionally when I use this device. When I receive a call, the device automatically puts the call "Hold" after a few minutes. This doesn't happen every time. I'm going to reset my device to avoid this issue. Before doing that, I would like to get to know if there's something Ic ould do without resetting my device.
