Wanting to unlock Sagem my401c, USB device not recognized

I want to unlock my Sagem my401c, so I soldered the necessary wires on the board. However, as soon as I power on the phone and connect it to the PC, I get the USB device not recognised message:

The device shows up in task manager as "Unknown USB device (device descriptor request failed)"

Here's my setup:

Why is this happening? Can someone help me?

The PC's got Windows 10 1607 x64

Ok, so if I get an old PC with a COM port (I've got two), then I get a COM cable, strip one side of it and connect them Tx, Rx and GND wires on the phone's board and connect the other side to the PC, can I unlock it then?
