I guess these 7 tracks starts at a component close to the screw and ends at another place (hopefully not under a bga ic)...
Does anyone have a clue from where--too these tracks goes?
Have you done yours? I have tried to repair mine lately but I ended to rmove all the lines, do you know what should I do? In fact I want to know where these lines come from and where they should end.

Hey guys.
Got the 5S with blue screen. one time i get error 14 another time its eror 1403.
i checked the board on the places where the damage from the screws could be but its looks good.
what could be the reason for blue screen?

Sometimes it looks good but below the durface can be some lines damaged. Maybe produced by screw pressure, without damaging surface. Sometimes it happens.

Is NOT an easy fixing, so don’t even think to start if you are not an experienced technician!

As you can see in the first picture, mixing the screws will destroy some lines in the second layer of the board.

Start by removing the nut (if is not already snapped out) and CAREFULLY scratch out the first layer until you see the lines. Of course, you will need one good microscope, extremely sharp tools and steady hands. Again, is not an easy job!

Next step is to expose the lines and rebuild the broken ones. You can use a very thin wire (like the one from phone speaker/buzzer coil) or you can use some solder if the gap is not too big. One bad move and you will destroy more, so take care!

I had just one case with just one damaged line by the longer screw, most of the time I had to rebuild 3-5 lines out of the 7 there.
You can see in the pictures how is suppose to look a good board and 3 cases of affected lines . I did not have more time to trace down the lines, maybe I will find out an easy “surface jumper”, but whoever have a bare_board can try to trace that lines.

It took me some real time and countless beers, so feel free to give me one when you see me, especially if I saved your a s s...

Of course, everything was, is and will be ©powered by oblio

Good board for reference:
