Double checked my jumper and it's good. Remembered Q8104 and I am getting the same results - 4.94v

I ran resistance test on the caps. C8165 starts at 12Mohms but immediately starts draining and goes down to 233kOhms and continues to deplete. Now for Q8101, there is no component in that location and according to the schematic is it labeled NOSTUFF. I did however test the two caps next to it since they are together. C8170 started at 9.04Mohm then starts to drain down to 233Kohms and continues to drain more and the same results for C8171.

So how do these values look to you?

This is post number 9. So in about 10 minutes I will post number and hopefully I can include a photo on this one.

Double checked my jumper and it's good. Re-measured Q8104 and I am getting the same results - 4.94v while the two points are jumped.

So how do these cap values look to you?

Now seeing how after jumping those two points and re-measuring Q8104 and getting voltage readings on pins 5, 6 7 and 8 while those two points were jumped, are we coming to the conclusion that Q8104 is faulty here and needs to be replaced JimChu316?

Q8104 only 5 pin, pin 1-2-3 is Vcc_MAN (4.2V / Vbat) pin 5 is VBAT (3.7-4.2V)

IF Q8104 FAULTY, SHORT PIN 1-2-3 TO 5.

SO EARY JOB.

before shorting pins 1,2 and 3 to pin 5, do I remove the jumpers from previous test? How do you SHORT pin 1, 2, and 3 to pin 5, am I soldering 3 individual small wires from Q8104 pin 1, 2 and 3 and solder them to pin 5? or do I solder wire on pin 1 to pin 2, then solder wire from pin 2 to pin 3, then solder wire from pin 3 to pin 5? After I short the pins correctly, do I take voltage reading across pin 5 on the Q8104 chip ?

only need soldering pin 1 to pin 5

They are connected pin 1-2-3 on PCB

What is the secret to soldering jumper wires to Q8104 from pin 1 to Pin 5. I can't get my wires to stay. They keep falling off. I have my soldering iron set at 780 degrees.
