Member: 2653132 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Same issue with 2 ipad minis (2nd & 3rd gen). Replaced u1300 w/ no change, then replaced q8104 w/ no change. Saw this thread. Check volt on c8145 and it shows ~4v. just replaced the q8123 w/ no change. ipads are not drawing power. Any ideas? |

I assume you changed the diodes as well? although D8100 would probably give HDFU so easy to spot. Now I realise this is gonna sound stupid but you did try a different battery at the start .... mostly I have noticed case cracking at 20x mag on failed tristar chips. I have lots of weird battery issues, 2 only fired up when heated else device not charging at all and device showing dead battery icon! lots that refuse to charge from logic board and suck the life out of my psu. I always use a known good battery now before i get the soldering iron turned on lol | |

Member: 2653132 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Have to give up on the 2 minis. Now have Air 1 with same issue. Verified C8145 has 5 volts. This runs into Q8123 (usb charging ic) which is receiving 5 volts but going out to DZ8120 is 0 volts. My guess it's either Q8123 or U8100 that is bad. Planning to replace u8123 and see what happens. |
