do you have to replace the wifi/bt module or ic as well?

or just the resistor removal will do it?

Resistor only but you have to JB to add WIFI drivers!

I got both resistors off but misplaced them most likely blew away.
Does anyone know the value of these resistor ? Thanks in advance!

Anyone actually replaced the wifi ic with the air2 wifi version on the pros, either 9.7 or 12.9 ?

Try just with 2 removed resistors. It will work too. Tested on Ru forum
