Depends on the type of the touch

It happened to me several times when i replaced the touch that the transparency of the small sensor window above the earpiece was wrong, you can observe it when you compare the old original touch with the new one,the colour is faint/faded,you can correct that with a permanent marker,a black one (the real colour is dark purple or dark blue). Try out painting one by one several layers on the inside part of the touch`s window and try it out untill it works.

once collored with marker the light can still go through, you can check if you hold it up into the light.
Worked like a bomb.Thanks

yesterday i even had the problem with an original lcd i removed from an iphone to put in in color. when i used the original one on other iphone the sensor did not work. So i scraped the black layer from the back of the tiny window under the microscope gently till you can see through like glass and then i did like the non original, took a black marker an colored it black again.
worked like a charm.

grtz
