Check the two points where the cap used to be. does it still beep? if so your short is somewhere else.

When an engineer design a circuit with capacitors, they are there for a reason ;-) They minimize ripple when you have a change in voltage. If you have made a huge reduction in capacitance between a voltage line and ground, this could cause problems!
Therefore: resolder all (or at least the big ones) capacitors, and if nothing else is damaged on the board, you should be good to go!

yah jergeron the capacitors in the pic http://www.skyecomputer.com/baseband1.jpg are very small i dont think i have the parts to resolder but this is were i think my problem is coming from that other wise some of the bigger caps that i did desolder that were shorted do to water damage did fix the major problem with the phone if you think its the bigger ones in the other 2 pic i think i can resolder i just didnt know if the smaller ones in the link that i just referenced were actally filters and maybe needed a solder bridge again im not a professional i just do what i can i understand everything is there for a purpose i just didnt know if anyone could direct me as to what part of the board was causing this problem i will work on it again tommrow and post results thanks for your input.

You can find schematic on this forum, and from this you can see if the components you have removed are capacitors or coils.
You should defiantly resolder the bigger capacitors (>1uF), this could very well be the root to problems :-)

only problem i found a few schematic the 4 s and the 4 but this is a cdma iphone 4 and only schematic i found was the gsm and they are different either way this board had a ton of water damage and its possible i may just let this one go its only a 8 gig verizon phone anyway just got to many hours into looking at this great thanks to all who helped and i wish i could have posted a solution to this one. i have resolder all big caps and they get no bleep so there not shorted i did pull a pad on one of them so i cant resolder that one anyways thx again.
