power management ic

Hi people im new on here and new to fixing phones really. iv got a iphone 4 has no life at all, put a working battery in and charger still nothing the power ic gets warm too. iv tried to disconnected everything to see if it was the screen ect but made no difference. just looking for advise really what i should check.

Check + and - terminal for short. If not then change PMIC.

just checked the voltage and it come back with 1.19v on the usb charger what should i check next.

Preheat the board, heat the glue and use cutter to clear the glue slowly. After the glue is clear, heat the chip and use a tiny tip or cutter to lift up the chip, give the chip with a GENTLE LIFT SLOWLY, otherwise the pins under the chips will be broken.

Before changing any IC: Check if one of the Outputs are shorted! The PMIC get's hot in this case! Also check if the PP1V35 and PP1V8_SDRAM going up and go back to 0V after pressing the power button for 0.5sec and release it after. If the voltages stay, check for Shorts at the Output first. I've had only 5 times that the PMIC on a 4 was bad after more than 700 repairs!

i have iphone 4 .... it has no life ...but when i connect it on charging the red charging logo comes on screen but the iphone is not charging at all and pmic is getting very hot and hot ...i tried to replace the battery but then also same problem continuess.....what might be the problem

water damaged?

did you use a CCC ( cheap china-charger? )

Change the pmic!! Don't worry, the pmic on the iphone 4 is EASY , easiest ic on board.
