Exclamation iphone 5 dead as it can be

Hi

I have an iPhone 5 that was working but it started to losing battery capacity and suddenly it turned off to never turn back on.

I thought it was the battery so I purchased a replacement battery, installed it and waited, waited a little more and finally...nothing.

No charging, no turning on, not detected in itunes, connected for 10, 20, 30, 60, inifinite time and...nothing.

Tried restoring with home button...nothing.

Tried everything i've seen so far but...nothing.

so, i took appart the damn hellish phone, to find that in the backside of the main pcb theres an unshielded silvery IC (RF module???) which i think it's kinda corroded for my eye delight...

Also, found another hellish corroded IC whose location is north-east to the silvery rectanguler IC...

I cannot see any other part or chip that seems to be damaged

We have an iPhone 5C that will charge with a battery that has charge in it, but as soon as you put a flat battery or let it run flat it will not charge. I remember that the iPhone 5 had a similar problem and there was an iC that you had to remove and loop that corrected this, I have searched for that chip on the 5C and its not in the same place. I would be very grateful for any information that helps me solve this problem.

well most charging problems on iphone 5 when battery is dead come from U2 ic near the CPU. But at your case send us some pictures about the correded parts to say if they have a problem or not, maybe they cause some kind of problems in general.

have you checked for short ? maybe a short causes all your problems

probably a board problem. so check the board for missing parts. it could be the touch IC also...

Well, Smoky, I went kinda crazy whit this MF and took the new battery and kickstarted it with 5V 1.2A from a PSU for about 10 secs and connected it again to de son of the devil and voilą! the dead MF resurected.

...But

Yes, this little bitch had to fight over and over.

I carged the phone back to 100%, and it worked great but last night I turned it off with about 20% battery and now the goddammit piece of S#&%$" won“t power up.

I“ll tri to kickstart this evil bitch again and let you know the outcome.
