First you have to remove all parts from housing. Stick housing to your desk, use your hot air gun to warm up the broken glass so glue will be loose, at the same time use a razor tool blade (see pic) to remove broken glass. Careful about edge, there is a tiny plastic/rubber border which is attached with housing, don't damage it, otherwise it will look ugly after replace new glass. Once you done with broken glass, remove camera glass with it metal body (see pic) from housing. You have to use razor tool blade or some other blade to cut that welding joint (see pic) After replace new glass, put back that camera glass with metal body by glue. And you are done. It took me 2/3 hours to finish that all process so I charged each customer 130$-160$ Next time I will try to make a video for you guys. Thank you | |

You have to use a very high temp to get the glue to let go. I glue the housing back, tap 4 holes and screw it down once the glass is replaced. You have to be careful to maintain IP67 ratings and to not damage anything. There is no need to tear down the entire mid-frame. I charge $100 for this repair. |

Member: 740993 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 75 | We are using a laser machine for iPhone back glass repair and replaced hundreds of broken iPhone broken back glass without any issue. Laser machine just takes 5 to 10 minutes to burn the paint/glue under glass and after that, you can remove glass easily. We have also replaced backglass for iPhone 11, 11 pro, 11 pro max. On these models, laser take more time also the camera part is harder because the laser does not work properly in the camera area and glass is too thick to break and remove. But still, laser machines are best for iPhone back glass repair. Regards Cityphones iPhone back glass repair |
