Member: 1928023 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | iphone 4s battery not charging - fake charging? how to test I plug it in and the charging indicator is shown and it looks like it is charging but never does. I tried all chargers etc. I replaced the dock connector with another one and it does not help. The batteries are fine, I tried two. I think something on the logic board but I can't tell. I have a multimeter and try to follow the schematics on this forum, but can someone tell me exactly where to test the flow to see at what point it is failing? I want to try and fix myself. the connectors are so tiny, how to get the multimeter on them, and which ones to start with...I have no clue. thanks in advance |

Member: 1928023 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | So happy. I found a capacitor that is missing, under the battery connector... It is so tiny!!!! I have microscope and fine soldering iron, so what do I do? replace or put solder across? I can't post pics yet, but I will try to describe. It is the second of 4 of the tiny capacitor. (3rd one is black). it is reddish/tan. Right under the battery connector. |

Member: 747693 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | its often better to purely give the name of the capicator resistor when explaining an issue, the schematics will give you this (eg. R1234 for resistor / C1234 for capacitor) replace if possible, if not you may be able to jump if the component is not CRITICAL again schematics will tell you this... |
