Riff Box vs Odin

Obviously Riff box is a jtag box and is perfect when you need to solder to the motherboard of a phone to resurrect but I see a lot of the manuals for some phones simple say to put the phone into download mode to resurrect?

When all you are doing is putting a phone into download mode for resurrection is Riff box any different from just using odin??

When you say without download mode or as Dead boot is that a situation where the phone has to be soldered for jtagging?

or are you saying riff box is able to interact with the phone in the same fashion odin is but without regular download mode present?

You realy need to study more. These have nothing in common. Odin is for flashing and loading files. Riff is to resurrect dead phones due to bad flashing or error modification.

I dont need to "study" I was merely pointing out that some of the recovery manuals ive seen on riffs site for phones just say to put the phone into download mode. So I was asking whether riff box does anything different then odin in that regard. I understand Riffbox is more for JTagging (soldering) to devices motherboards to flash

ODIN can't interact with the phone with-out bootloader or in Download mode..

that's when JTAG (RIFF) come in..can repair Boot area so your phone can GO on Download mode and can be repair using ODIN.........
