Wrong ID reporting thread - GSM-Forum

Hello all,
I have an HTC Pure from AT&T which is originally HTC Topaz as far as I know.
The PCB is identical to the Topaz board pictured in JTAG Manager Interface Pinout.
I tried using the Resurrection and I get the following error:

Code:

Connecting to the RIFF Box...OK
Firmware Version: 1.21, JTAG Manager Version: 1.29
Selected Resurrector: [HTC Topaz]

Connecting to the dead body...OK
Detected dead body ID: 0xB01700E1 - WRONG!!!
ERROR: Current ID does not belong to the HTC Topaz family.

I did read the manual for this resurrection.
I have all updates downloaded and installed.
Phone is connected to PC using USB.
I have checked my wires multiple times. I have them carefully labeled.
My soldering is also very neat and clean, I use a temperature controlled Weller soldering station.
I have also tried the resurrection process with battery in the phone, no difference.

Which leads me to think that the ID is read correctly.
Phone's hardware is also OK, since this phone still boots. I need this resurrection functionality for testing purposes.

Hi,
Thank You for report. This is unusual CPU ID, first digit is wrongly decoded.
However, we'll add it to Topaz DLL list, so You can perform further tests.

i have problem with samsung i7500 with wrong id error.
Here is the log:

Firmware Version: 1.23, JTAG Manager Version: 1.32
Selected Resurrector: [Samsung I7500]

Connecting to the dead body...OK
Detected dead body ID: 0x201700E1 - WRONG!!!
ERROR: Current ID does not belong to the Samsung I7500 family.

I allso noticed that the jtag connector is on other place from the picture in riff software.
I will take picture of the board and post it.
