eMMC ISP connection ISP (In-System Programming) is*not documented connection for*eMMC at PCB. It use 1-dat line (1bit) mode for*transder data between eMMC and box. ISP mode connection use CLK, CMD, DAT_0 (Data zero), GND wires and VCC, VCCQ power wires for eMMC. Some devices have pads for CLK/CMD/Dat_0 signals*on PCB. But mist devices not have pads, and some devices have no wires for these signals of PCB*top layer (wires are placed at internal PCB layer). There are 2*types of ISP*eMMC connection: - Normal mode* - HiPower CLK*(tm) mode Normal mode: At Normal mode ISP MMC connection need use this pins: GND CMD CLK DAT0 VCC VCCQ Device board have no power from USB charger or*battery. Power to eMMC is external (VCC, VCCQ wires) and provide from EasyJTAG Plus box or from third-party power adapder for EasyJTAG 1st generation box. Some devices need use Pull-UP resistors for DAT0/CMD lines (100-200 ohms) For best ISP connection relults EasyJTAG Plus box (with box firmware*v2.53+) allow use different VIO levels voltages: 1,8/2.0/2.2/2,4/2.6/2.8/3.0/3.3v HiPower CLK (tm) mode: - Device board get power from USB charger or*together USB/battеry.* - VCC/VCCQ wires are*not connected at this mode.* - At software must be set "HiPowerCLK mode" checkbox. - For*EasyJTAG 1st generation box*need use special 4pins CLK adapter. HiPowerCLK mode is the best solution for most new devices. At HiPowerCLK mode ISP eMMC connection need use only this pins: GND CMD CLK DAT0 Important requirements that must be met for a quality ISP connection: - GND wire should be much thicker compared to others - the length of all wires must be same - the length of all wires should be kept to a minimum. Best length*is 5-10 centimeters CLK clock at ISP mode*determines the data trarsfer*speed beetwin eMMC and box. If the above requirements are met, the stability of operation is ensured at frequencies up to 24-36MHz. The best performance is from 14-24MHz. There is no need to use lower frequencies.* =========== also you can try change VIO voltage and change "Disable eMMC hi-speed timing" at software settings Last edited by layder; 01-03-2021 at 00:15. | |
