Emmc as SBC disk device

Hi,
today I've waste some hours trying to use a Samsung/Toshiba eMMC as memory disk for a Single Board Computer (Orangepi Zero) without any success.


Many people, online, seems to be able to read an eMMC with a SD-adapter, and many SBC's vendors provide a eMMC adapter to connect an eMMC to the micro-sd slot of the SBC.


I've got some time to waste, so today I've erased two eMMC from different vendors, and then flashed a linux image compatible with the SBC using the EasyJtag Tool.


After that, following that scheme




I've connect the eMMC to the SBC after i've removed the micro-sd slot.


Just two think to notice:
- I've make a jumper on the "presence" pin so the SBC can think that there's a micro-sd on the slot reader
- I've connected both Vcc and Vccq to the same voltage: 3.3v


Why? Because I've not found sufficient information about Vccq, and i was thinking that Vccq was related to IO voltage.


The problem? Seems that the SBC does not want to boot from eMMC, it does nothing...



During all the process I've removed the eMMC and soldered back the sd slot to check if the SBC are still working, and I've also read the eMMC with the tool many time during all the process to check if the eMMC was still alive.


After many try, I've removed the eMMC from the SBC and I've created an adapter to connect the E-Socket to the SBC easily, also to swap the eMMC from the Box to the SMC.


I was not able to get it booting, I'm missing some option flashing the img linux file?
I've ho set the partition bootable in some way?

Any help will be very accepted, even if i know that this is non a "standard" use for that Box, and maybe just, really, a waste of time
