if this garmin emmc based - you can read/write full or part of dump. i think all pins and other information there.
if cloning possible you can write full dump from working one.

100% way to find emmc direct connect poinout - you can remove EMMC and check pins via tester.

we have emmc direct pinout for 2 navigators 1 mio and 1 garmin. soon will be uploaded to support.

Not everyone has an oscilloscope at home to find the points.
But I think they'd be grateful if you put a small tutorial on how to find the points with an oscilloscope eMMC simple.
There are some cheap oscilloscopes, via USB.

On the other hand, I think I have spotted a standard JTAG port all garmin models.
I want to buy the box and check it.
I saw on the specifications of the box, it is possible to make debugger, reading registers, and put breakpoints.
I have not seen any post regarding these features.

A greeting.

Garmin C330

Any chance of JTAG on a Nand memory GPS?

I picked up a Garmin C330 for very cheap just so I can start playing with GPS JTAG/ repair... I know it is not Emmc but is there a way we can still use JTAG to read/write ?

The GPS is stuck on boot logo after the original owner tried flashing new maps. I tried Hard reset ..does not work.

Nand memory used is here:
K9W8G08U1M datasheet, Pinout ,application circuits 512m X 8 Bit / 256m X 16 Bit Nand Flash Memory Semiconductor

Hello, in the top right of the MicroSD card slot, there are 8-pin row.
1 -
2 - Tms
3 -
4 - Tdi
5 - Gnd
6 -
7 -
8 - Tck

I think the order of the pins is the show.
I think it is a standard JTAG connector on garmin gps.
Jtag_finder Mode Testing and coments us the results.

Another option, is to be the connector on the top left of the PCB.
An 8-pin connector. Check if pin 5 is Gnd.

A greeting.
