Worlds First LG LS996 Dead boot repair Done.... - GSM-Forum

Hi There.

A couple of days ago i received a LG LS996 Flex 2 for Flashing.

It was stuck on LG logo.

I flashed the phone with a reputed Third party Software (Don't wanna name them).

Flashing went fine But the phone didn't powered On.

Now the phone was detected as Qualcomm Device.

Boot Dead!

I contacted the team for assistance but they didn't had any solution, They Told me to try repairing it on their other box that support Emmc repair.

But that box doesn't supported ISP for this device. Infact There are no ISP pinout for this phone.

I searched everywhere over the net for the Solution but didn't found anything.

Then i found a person from Vietnam. With his help i was able to repair My LS996.

For Repairing boot Dead Flex 2 .... One need's to be able to Work With Emmc's.

1: Unsolder The Emmc from the MotherBoard.

2: Connect The Emmc to Easy-Jtag.

3: Try Detecting Emmc with Easy-Jtag and see if the Chip is Still Alive.

4: Format and Reset Emmc.

5: Write Dump of working phone's ROM1

6: Read Emmc Info after write Dump. Now should have all partition INFO.

7: Now Reball the Emmc.

8: Solder back the Chip to the MotherBoard.

9: Now Assemble the phone and check if the phone is able to boot in Download Mode.

10: Now flash The phone with Latest Version firmware.

11: Now Bypass the Activation Screen.

And You are done....

Good work why before solder the chip to the motherboard try to find emmc pinout in board ?

Already tried finding The ISP pinout.

All the point are available but DATA0 is directly going to CPU

I may be wrong, Maybe someone else is able to find Data0.

because it is a nightmare to desolder and resolder the emmc,
