I know nothing about savvy (not bad on nokias though) so my question is?
I have 3 savvys
1 tcd168 (uk orange)
2 tcd 188 (german vougues)

any software works for these????
I've heard a powered cable is required. If so which pin needs voltage and how much.

For 168 Savvy use Andromeda 3.1
For 188 use Savvy tools 1.5(I never used but is said to work on all versions).

For the cable I use a Nokia cable with max3232 and without any external power.

can confirm that orange savvy 168ao works fine using andromeda 3.1, cable i bought form active mobiles (12.75 all in delivered within a week) power used viad fly leads was 4.8v.

all savy unlocker by saras is good ,you need standard savy data lead and takes phone into tat mode you then simply read codes ,put in new sim card and enter 8 digit nck or spck code.if u need software go to www.xs.ro

Just to say thanks andrommeda works 100 % on tcd 168/ao. Not tested 188 yet as its somwhere else but when I connect 168 to savvy tools 1.5 nothing happens exepct "connected". Is this normal?
Can someone explain about how versions differ e.g are all 168 the same and what do the characters after "/" mean.

Just trying to figure these out so thanks again for all the good posts. I'm learning..
