simemu and nokia 6230 problem - GSM-Forum

simemu 6.01 and green card 2 has a compatibility problem with the nokia 6230 , after about one week the phone goes "ïnsert sim" , tested with
2 X 6230 and 2 X sim cards , both did exactly the same thing , please help ,

what is causing this problem

Green sim works just fine on my nokia 6230.

its seems that the problem is related to updated hardware on the phone , my first phone , maufactured 032004 ,hw 6.00 ,NO PROBLEMS ,second phone manufactured 072004 hw 6.06 and 3rd phone manufactured 092004 hw 6.60 ,it is the second and 3rd phones which are giving problems ,

what hardware version do you have

If you use sw4.44 no problem with any hardware.

What is the advantage of using greencard2 over the silvercard?!

I have 6230 with fw 4.44 and don't have any problem with greencard2 and simemu 6.01, but line switching is very slow compared to silvercard.

Note: I have noticed that nobody answers my questions!!??!!

GreenCard 2 has 32Kb and SilverCard has 8Kb.
In the SIM-EMU the GreenCard 2 allows more phonebook/SMS/FDN than SilverCard and nothing more.

the simemu problem with the 6230 occurs only on the newer hardware revisions , HW6.06 ,HW6.60 and nokia has now released HW7.00 for the 6230 , @simemu please help

There is no way to obtain more than 254 FDN. This is a GSM limit.

My friends have the same problem with 5 SilverCard and 4 nokia 6230 with simemu 6.01.

about 3 day to 1 month, have ïnsert sim" proplem. reprogram the card, 4 card ok, 1 card die.
